WHO ARE WE?
The LEAD Firm has been educating and inspiring students towards post-educational success! We take pride in offering intuitive, engaging programs for students around the world. Our goals revolve around becoming a global leader within higher education. We aim to exceed your needs and help you execute stunning student programs.

THE PROGRAM
The LEAD Firm will provide (2) $500.00 scholarships in 2021-2022 academic school-year to deserving students enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university who demonstrates leadership, academic, and community service excellent. 

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the AALAINA K. BENJAMIN & FRANKLIN McCAIN, SR. Scholarships, The student must: 

• Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university for the 2021-2022 Fall/Spring semesters. 
• Elected or appointed student leader 
• Follow the LEAD Firm on at least one social media platform: Facebook & LinkedIn = The LEAD Firm, Twitter & Instagram – @lead_speaks 
• Have a minimum of 2.75 GPA 
• Have an established LinkedIn Account

Interested applicants must complete the scholarship application along with the following: 

• A 500-word maximum typed essay (essay question applied at the end of the application), Times Roman font, Font size 12, and APA style.
• Two (2) letters of recommendation (must be from a Campus-Based Professional and College/University Professor).
• Official Transcript (must be sealed). 

The application and all required supporting documents (transcript, letters of recommendation, and essay) must be dated after July 1, 2021. Applications with a date before July 1st will not be considered. All applications and all supporting documents must be mailed and postmarked no later than September 18, 2021 to:

SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS
The LEAD Firm may select successful scholarship award recipients based on the following criteria: 

• Based on financial need
• Academic Excellence
• Student Leadership
• Essay Evaluation
  

All candidates will be notified of their status by September 30, 2021. 

PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
If approved, the scholarship recipient will be notified via email. Upon verification of your enrollment, scholarship funds will be sent to your institution of higher learning. This is a one-time award and is not renewable. One recipient will be awarded one of the two scholarships. In addition, each 2021/2022 recipient will be featured on the LEAD Firm website as recognition for the award. 

STUDENT AWARD RECIPIENT OBLIGATIONS
Award recipients are required to notify the LEAD Firm of any change of address, changes in school enrollment, or of any other relevant information pertaining to a scholarship award. Failure to notify the scholarship committee in a timely manner of any of these changes may result in the forfeiture or delay an award.
