
Overview
This interactive and innovative program identifies the myths, misconceptions, and misogyny that plague Greek Life. This program will address chapterisms and traditions that have changed the narrative of purpose for Greek Life. This program addresses those unhealthy traditions and takes a deep dive into the origin of Greek Life existence. During this program, students will be challenged to explore why they joined their respective organizations and examine if they are still committed. The speaker will give insight on how to cross council partner to ensure that the each of the component of M3 is dissolved through unity. M3 will transform the narrative of students being boxed in as Greek Leaders to being recognized as University Leaders. Greek Life is not just a club or collegiate experience. It is a life-long commitment that will enhance students’ leadership ability, soft skills and personal network.
Learning Outcomes
- Each attendee will understand the effect monikers have on chapter and council image.
- Each attendee will leave with a blueprint for cross council partnering and programming.
- Each attendee will be equipped with the ability to control the narrative, communicate and quantify chapter and council success.
- Each attendee will learn the benefits of having an elevator pitch to market their respective organization.
- Upon completion of these learning outcomes, members of the IFC, NPHC, and NPC will be equipped with the ability address the Myths, Misconceptions & Misogyny of Greek Life.

If you have heard Dr. Jarrod D. Benjamin, you have heard F.I.R.E.—Funny, Informative, Relatable, and Engaging. He is the CEO and Principal Strategist of the L.E.A.D. Firm, consulting for over 200 colleges and universities nationwide in leadership training, faculty development, pedagogy assessment for competency attainment, and student success strategies. A military veteran and recipient of the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Dr. Benjamin holds a PhD focused on student engagement and first-year success. His work centers on creating equitable, impactful programming for student leaders, campus-based professionals, and faculty.
He has also expanded his work as a leadership and community strategist and trainer for the NBA Franchise, Portland Trail Blazers, collaborating with their professional staff to deliver impactful leadership development.
